Despite the last minute packing anxiety and frustrations, once we got on the road, we were eager to join the family for a few days of boating and fun. Arriving at the lake, we immediately boarded SS Kron (Rick and Brittany's boat) for an afternoon cruise followed by a short dip in the lake. With Lydia's life preserver on, she felt like and looked like a fish in the water. She loved the warm water and playing with all her "friends" and family. Cooking by the campfire is always enjoyable and after dinner, Lydia and I retreated to our room while the remaining family members enjoyed serenades by Uncle Ron.

Saturday morning brought rain storms that were not in the forecast and that lasted the better part of the morning. We didn't let the rain damper our spirits. The rain allowed for an Ellis Family (Brett, Lydia and myself) to catch a mid-day nap in our room. When we awoke, the sky was beautiful, blue and cloudless. Needless to say, we gathered our boating supplies and hit the water as soon as we could. We were able to to enjoy nearly four hours on the lake before we returned to the dock to prepare dinner.
Sunday was the day most of the family departed. We enjoyed a final outing on the boat with just Brett's parents. What a wonderful few hours on the lake that ultimately resulted in a sunburn for me and a lot of memories for Lydia.
We always enjoy our time at Mark Twain and this year was no exception...

Looks like a great time! Sorry I missed it. I guess Lydia didn't get her pics taken after all...
