Christmas Eve continued on in the tradition of celebrating with Brett's dad's side. This year the festivities occurred at the Worley home. Lydia was decked out in her holiday best, complete with Rudolphesque nose adornments thanks to her latest crash and burn episode at a previous holiday party. She was quite the party animal, staying up well past her bed time of 7pm to enjoy 4 pickles, some pretzels, and a cookie! Our attempts to keep her eating typical meals during the holidays has met its match with pickles. It seems to me that Lydia has taken on my love of pickle eating! She had a wardrobe change into her festive pajamas just in time to open some wonderful gifts from Brett's aunts, uncles, and cousins! She enjoyed opening her own gifts as well as helping her new baby cousin, Lana, open some of hers! Lydia learned a new sign that she shared with us frequently over the weekend: Baby! She signs and says baby to her dollies, other babies, and her Baby Signing Time DvDs! It is so stinkin' cute! She continues to find joy and triumph in standing on top of boxes, regardless of size, height, or shape. She gleams with pride once she stands on top of one. The parental radar in me says that this is not something to encourage, but oh well...
