Wildlife Scary Park

Peoria has a large wildlife preserve that functions as a prairie 'zoo' that is home to many buffalo, elk, deer, and other indigenous animals of central Illinois. Each year, they host Wildlife Scary Park. This was our first year attending and we had a blast. We went with my nephews, niece, mom, dad, and brother. Lydia trick or treated through "not so scary park" and loved dancing to the music near the bubbles. She loved clapping to the music and seeing all the kids in costume. By the time we got on the train to go through the 'haunted forest' Lydia had called it a night and we enjoyed the train ride with a sleeping baby in our arms. Due to the fact that Lydia is Miss Independent now and loves her 'space' while she is sleeping, this was a welcome surprise and we enjoyed our ride while she slept. Lydia wore her pumpkin outfit to the park. We were pleased that it kept her so warm. Brett and I sported our Hawkeye gear in support of the Iowa victory over Michigan State!
