Saturdays around our house typically mean we proudly display our Hawkeye Flag and intently watch the television as the Hawkeyes earn another victory. Recently, the events have played out similarly, but without the victories! We still diligently display our Hawkeye flag, dress in our black and gold, and cheer on the Hawks. Lydia is completely adorned in her Hawk gear on Saturdays. She even has new Hawkeye slippers to parade around the house in! Lydia has started to cheer and clap when we begin to. She raises her hands for a touchdown if we do. She watches intently at each play (well sort of... that is... if she is actually watching the screen while running from toy to toy and reading her books). Despite the lack of a Hawkeye victory, we still love our team and will be watching them as they take on the Golden Gophers of Minnesota this coming weekend.... Go HAWKS!
