Today
No one told me that brushing a toddler's teeth would be so difficult. Luckily for us, it only took 4 times, a lot of modeling, and some tasty toddler safe toothpaste to ease the frustration of brushing Lydia's teeth. Now, she is able to do it on her own with our guidance. She has A TON of teeth for only being 16 months old, so we want to make sure we practice good oral hygiene with her from an early age. Speaking of teeth, she is sprouting 4 more! REALLY! She already has her front 8 teeth and back 4 molars. Her 'eye' teeth are coming in now. I attribute her grouchy attitude this evening to those pesky teeth. Aside from that, She continues to do her own thing. Lydia loves to read, progresses daily with her sign language, and is relatively calm with all the Christmas decor. She tests the waters with taking ornaments off the tree, but will return them upon command. One of my favorite things to do is to watch Lydia walk across the living room floor with her belly sticking out. It is much more entertaining when she has a onesie on compared to a sweatshirt so that the full "belly'" effect plays a more prominent role!
