Autism Speaks

At Valley Stadium in Des Moines, we enjoyed a great morning walk at the annual Autism Speaks walk. This walk raises money for autism research and therapies for a variety of families and agencies as we seek to continue to find a root cause of this disorder. As a teacher of students with autism spectrum disorders, I have been professionally impacted by this growing disorder. As a friend of a family whom embraces autism, I know it effects a growing number of children and their families. I enjoy supporting "Team Chloe" every year with my in-laws and was excited to introduce Lydia to this new tradition.
