Brett and Lydia spent their first Father's Day in Des Moines, Iowa. We have made it a tradition to walk in the Autism Speaks Walk in Des Moines each year. This year, we went with Gary and Denise and stayed at the Embassy Suites on the River. We enjoyed a great day and evening in Des Moines. Lydia surprised her daddy with a new shutterfly album of pictures of the two of them filled with reasons she loves her daddy. She even made him a personalized card and gave him a board book, "Daddy's Girl" for the two of them to read together. The biggest surprise came when we returned home on Father's Day evening and a new flat screen TV was mounted on the living room wall. Our friend, Matt, helped me surprise Brett with this much wanted TV in the living room. Brett has enjoyed watching the US Open and all the weather coverage during this rather turbulent time of storms! All in all, it was a great day and I am so thankful for both Brett and Lydia in being a great daddy and a fantastic baby girl!!!
