It has been three weeks since Lydia came in and brightened our world. We are amazed on a daily basis how she continues to grow and explore the world around her.
Lydia still spends much of her days sleeping, but is also alert and lively when she is awake! She loves looking at all the things around her. She loves to sit in her bouncer near the window to see the outdoors. She also enjoys spending a little bit of time outside as long as it isn't too sunny! She has been a fabulous shopping partner and does an amazing job with tagging along on errands. She quietly and contently sits in her car seat or in my arms as we run to the post office, grocery store, or Target! Today we also went and got a copy of her birth certificate. It is official! She really was born and I have a $13.75 piece of paper that is stamped by the county to prove it! Lydia has started to outgrow some of the newborn sleepers we bought her when she came home. We have started to put her in 0-3 month outfits, but they are a little big! She is also getting to outgrow newborn diapers, so we are finishing the last package of newborn diapers we have and will start fitting her in "1s." We have quite a few "1s" thanks to some shower gifts as well as preparation on our part.
On Tuesday, Erin stopped in Peoria on her way to visit her family in Springfield. Lydia enjoyed spending time with Erin! Lydia was not much of a "fuss bus" with Erin around. Erin brought her puppy Lana that spent the night at Uncle Burliss' house with his dog, Cody. We went to an Erin Feis gathering with Lydia and enjoyed a glass of wine on our deck.
