How many people take a weekend to go to a dairy farm? The answer to that question is 3! Brett, Lydia and I ventured to Fair Oaks, Indiana today to go to the Nation's Largest Dairy. With over 35,000 cows, Fair Oaks is HUGE! Their dairy adventure is located on site #2 of their 10 site dairyopolis.
Not knowing what to expect, my expectations weren't very high, but we were blown away! The visitor's center, exhibition hall, cheese factory, outdoor area and birthing barn were all a part of
the "Disneyland of Dairy Farms."
The MooMobile took our family and other visitors through the herds of heifers as they prepared to be milked. A highlight of our visit was the live birth of a new calf in the center's birthing barn. It was a surreal experience that was truly incredible.
Lydia loved the outdoor train tracks, bounce pillow, and tractor rides. We loved the samples of cheese, ice cream, and fresh milk! There was
even a 4D adventure movie that we enjoyed before we departed..
Our evening concluded with shopping at a local outlet mall, dinner, and swim in the hotel pool.
We are looking forward to a beach day tomorrow and visit to a local zoo. More updates to come!
