We put cookies out for Santa on Christmas Eve using Lydia's plate that she created at "Created Just By Me" Pottery in Washington. She was surprised when Santa ate the cookies and left her a note to enjoy all the presents. He also left her Fancy Nancy Jammies and a bell. We are still trying to get her to try on those jammies.
Again, the wonder of Christmas through the Eyes of Lydia made it truly magical. She asked countless times as she opened gifts, "Santa bring these for me?" She was so 'into' opening and playing with her new toys and clothes.
We finally unpacked all her goodies and played with them today. We spent all day in our jammies today and as time went on I would introduce one more new toy to her. She loved the Little People Doll House and played with that for a considerable amount of time. She also really likes playing with the Sesame Street Memory game she received from her baby sitter.
As Christmas Break continues, we have intentions to go to a Noon Year's Eve Party with Lydia that includes a concert, balloon drop, confetti gun, and bubble wrap stomp. Being a avid fan of Julie K, I know Lydia will enjoy it. She has a glittery dress and is ready to party. We also intend to go to a few friends' parties with Lydia. One of which, will include an early midnight celebration for our kiddos.
