Sesame Street LIVE!

In December, I purchased tickets for Lydia to attend Sesame Street: Live! I wasn't quite sure what her reaction would be to the show and/or if she was old enough to enjoy it. My questions were answered when we took her to see Elmo and his 'gang' tonight. Suffice to say, Lydia loved it! So much so that she wiggled, boogied, and giggled her way through 3/4ths of the entire show. What did she do during the remaining 1/4th you ask? Well, despite the finale, Lydia went from bouncing in my seat and clapping to the music to sound asleep in 2 seconds flat. Not only did she fall asleep, but she remained asleep as we finished the show, walked to the lobby, put her coat on her, walked to the car in the cold, put her in her seat, drove home, got her in her PJS, and put her to bed.

Her favorite part, was arguably, a large talking bee that flew over the cast of Sesame Street. She pointed and said "BEE!" She jumped and giggled, bobbed her head, and had an overall great time. Although Brett and I are obviously a little old to enjoy the characters, we were in awe seeing the performance through Lydia's eyes that were lit up for the entire show.
