What better way to end a day at work, than to come to the babysitter and see your baby walking! That is just what happened on Thursday when I picked Lydia up. Instead of picking Lydia up to hold her, Erin told me to walk across the room. She situated Lydia and she took 8 steps toward me! We had been practicing with Lydia on her walking, but she had never done more than 2-3 steps without falling down. I was so excited to see her toddle to me at Erin's House! This weekend, I was able to take some video as she is becoming more comfortable with walking. She is much more proficient, but isn't walking 100% of the time yet. She likes to be a hybrid walker/crawler. The determining factor is whichever is faster in that moment.
I am so proud of Lydia and I know she is too. When she is walking, she is all smiles and is so proud of herself. I love watching the toddling she does as she moves from one place to another! So it is official, we have a walker. She is 14 months old and finally has that skill down... Just another highlight to record in the memory books! I can't wait to see what she does next!
