Loving Lydia

Lydia is at such a fun age right now! I am loving watching the world through her eyes! She is entertained by so much in her environment now.

She points to airplanes as they soar through the sky and giggles.
She claps to music and bounces up and down.
She now signs daddy and mommy!
She can sign two word signs- more/eat or eat/more.
She is becoming a more active and stable walker.
She attempts to brush her hair and her teeth.
She attempts to put on her own shoes.
She can tell you where her head is.
She laughs at "head, shoulders, knees, and toes."
She loves to unpack and pack laundry baskets, shoe racks, drawers, or anything she gets her hands on.
She sleeps an entire 12 hours, going to bed at 7pm most nights!
We are working on weaning her from her paci, but are finding it difficult to do at nap time and bedtime. She doesn't use the paci during the day; however.

A picture of mommy and Lydia before work one morning. Lydia was sporting her new zebra outfit from Grandma. The ruffles on the butt are the best part of the outfit and the pants are super soft!

We worked this weekend on Lydia's play room. We bought storage and a toddler table and chairs for her. We have had fun putting it together in Bradley Colors. I will post pictures when it is complete! Lydia has already played down in her new space. Despite the fact it is covered with toys, it somehow fits seamlessly with the rest of the basement "BU" decor that we have in the lower level.
