Story Time at Borders
Every Tuesday, Borders Book Store offers a free story time. This time provides a story, 2 songs and dances, coloring page, and snack. I was anxious to take Lydia to these this summer as I am unable to during the school year. Today, there were more than 35 kids at story time. Although I believe it is a strong influence in her vocabulary acquisition and communication, I take her, primarily, to see the other kids. She loves to socialize and see all the kids in attendance. Today was special because her cousins, Emma, Levi, and Mikey came to join her! She helped Emma color a page and they danced the dinosaur dance together. They also sing a chicken song that is hilarious. Lydia does a great job shaking the noisemaker egg.
