Little Adventures

Lydia continues to remind me on a daily basis the importance of the little things in life. She doesn't require a lot to keep her content and happy. That was illustrated by the small front yard adventure we had this afternoon....

Lydia wanted to write to you today to tell you about it...

Mommy took me outside to the front yard today. I know what you are thinking... not too exciting huh? Well... guess what? It was so fun! First, I saw lots of bushes, trees, and flowers. I couldn't help but giggle when the wind made them move. There was a bird. He flew by fast, but I followed him as far as I could with my eyes. I love to see things move. But you'll never guess what else I saw? I saw cars, trucks, a bike rider, and some joggers! It was hilarious! I love all things that move and when I saw them drive, ride, or run past, I just had to let out big belly laughs.
I pointed to the cars as they went by. I had to make sure my mommy could see what I was seeing! They were so cool! I even waved at some of them. I got lots of waves back too. Now, I have been to some pretty cool places, but my front yard is pretty awesome too. After awhile, the neighbor girls started riding up and down the sidewalk. This was the best yet!

Mommy put me in my car so I could be like the girls. I had to sit back and analyze what they were doing. I can't ride a bike yet, so I just watched intently to learn how to be a big girl. One day I will be racing up and down the sidewalks... you just wait!
