New Tastes
Lydia has started eating more 'big girl' foods. She has tried bits of strawberries, melon, rice, beans, chicken, and tortillas. This morning we made her scrambled eggs and toast. At first, the texture of the scrambled eggs, resulted in a confused look on her face. After she tasted the eggs; however, she dove right in for more! I was careful to only give her about 1/2 of a whole organic egg. I only gave her pieces of half of a piece of whole wheat toast, but she ended up wanting more. Obviously from the last picture in this post, a lot of the food ended up in her chair, but I know she did get quite a bit in her mouth as well. She has not mastered the sippy cup, but we continue to offer it to her a couple times a day with the bottle so she drinks some from each. Also, we give her about 1oz of juice a day. Her sippy cup usually has about 3 oz of juice, but she doesn't really like the tartness of the juice, which is okay by me.
