Lucky Lydia

The Hawkeyes made a great backdrop to a "Meet the Lydia" party in Iowa. Brittany, Rick, Gary, and Denise all did a fabulous job in setting the stage for a great game watch party! Lydia brought the Hawkeyes lots of luck as they beat Michigan State in the final two seconds of the fourth quarter!


Lydia's party decorations included a lot of Hawkeye decor; including, a Hawkeye tree complete with ornaments featuring the cutest Hawk fan at the party! Our sports room in the basement will now have a BU tree and a Hawk Tree!

The cake also featured Lucky Lydia's name... It was tasty!


When the guests arrived, they signed a pink Hawk Jersey that will be framed and displayed in her nursery! I loved all the little details that Brittany thought of to make the party extra special. All of the food and beverages were even named after football terms, including Lydia's Layered Lettuce, Mandy's Mojitos, and Brett's Beer... Kick off Queso, Wide Receiver Water, and Moeiki's Meatballs were just a few of the other names...

We were blessed with a Hawkeye Victory and to be surrounded by many family and friends that came to watch the game and meet our little Lydia!
