Lydia had two sets of visitors today. Jim and Allison stopped by with dinner and dessert! We are so thankful for the yummy dinner, especially since Allison is due with her baby on TUESDAY! They are planning on delivering at Proctor, so we gave them as much insight to the experience as possible. If there is anything I have learned about labor and delivery though, it is that EVERYONE has a completely different and personal experience. There aren't many books or classes that can completely prepare you for what you experience during the process. We look forward to meeting their little one soon!
Jeremy, Dawn, and the boys also stopped by with a yummy chocolate and pumpkin dessert! Jeremy and Dawn have been a great set of role models as parents as they are terrific with their boys.

This weekend marked our 2nd weekend as parents of our Little Lydia and we continue to treasure each moment with her as we adjust to the lifestyle. On Friday night, we introduced Lydia to Brett's co-workers at AdCo and then went to a get together at one of my co-workers homes.
School starts tomorrow for Dunlap teachers. It is odd not to be preparing for in service, but I am enjoying staying at home and spending time with Lydia. In two weeks, she has changed so much. Just today we noticed that she is starting to 'fill in.' Her cheeks are filling out and she continues to look so adorable!
Lydia has been sleeping really well. We usually get up with her at 4am and then again at 8am. We are slowly getting used to her cries and what they mean. She doesn't cry often and it is usually only because she is hungry. She loves to cuddle with us and be close, but doesn't mind being passed around to visitors or spending time hanging out in her boppy.
The picture below is a pretty standard "sleep" position for Lydia. As much as I heard most babies like to be swaddled, Lydia does not like her hands swaddled. She loves to have them out of the blanket. She has become increasingly aware of her hands and feet and moves them a lot more now.

The picture of Lydia sleeping reminds me so much of how Eva slept. She too didn't want her hands swaddled. Maggie on the other hand still likes to be swaddled, especially when she isn't feeling good. Love reading all the little updates.
