Bird Cookies
Is it just me or has this warm winter just begged for an early spring? In our house, it hasn't been warm enough to play outisde, but we LOVE to watch the birds in anticipation of warm weather. As we seek things to do inside, I was excited to come across a recipe for bird seed cookies. Simply done, they require a mix of 3/4 cup of bird seed, a tablespoon of flour and two tablespoons of water. Mixed up and packed inside a greased cookie cutter, they are cooked for 1 hour at 170 degrees. When they are hard, they are ready to go. We added a piece of straw before we baked them to leave a hole for a ribbon to tie them to a tree... It was the perfect activity to keep us busy indoors while we wait for the weather to warm up outdoors!
