Colored Rice

Lydia loves playing with the colored rice we made during winter break. She loves to rub her hands in it, dump it in to different containers, and spread it over the pan. She played with Brett this weekend and loved covering his hands in the rice. On Pinterest, I got some more ideas for sensory activities to do with Lydia. I plan on getting the fuzzy pom pom balls from the craft store and giving her bowls and ice scream scoops to play with. I also so an idea to use aquarium pebbles, fake flowers, shovels and pails as a sensory activity. I think she would like both of those! Another idea included putting different objects inside balloons and blowing them up to listen to the sounds each object makes.
