Shoe Girl

It is no surprise that Lydia loves to play with her shoes. For awhile, Lydia has obediently gone to retrieve matching shoes to complete her outfit or to get ready to leave. Thus, I wasn't overly surprised when I walked into her room suspecting her to be reading a book, to find her setting out her shoes individually in a semi-circle around her after bath time. She was deliberate about her shoe positioning and quietly and thoughtfully arranged them neatly around her. When one shoe was placed appropriately, she would turn around to get another shoe from her bin. I chuckled at her diligence and focus at this task.
