Easter Egg Hunt

Sunday was the Peoria Jaycee's Annual Easter Egg Hunt. We had a most vested interest in this event this year because, not only are we parents, but I also chaired the event. My duties included coordinating the stuffing of 15,000 plastic Easter eggs, securing entertainment, soliciting donations, and solidifying location and manpower. Whereas this was a large task to put on an Easter Egg Hunt for more than 600 children, I had an enormous amount of support from my fellow Jaycees that came to help stuff eggs at the house, solicit or purchase Easter Baskets, and much more. Lydia, Brett, and I had a fabulous time on day that turned out to be gorgeous!

We received a lot of publicity regarding the event and were featured on all three news channels as well as the front page of the Journal Star Newspaper! Way to go Team!

I couldn't have done the event alone! All these wonderful Jaycees supported the event and helped out in more ways than you can imagine!

Lydia found one egg... It was yellow. She couldn't eat the Tootsie Roll inside, but daddy enjoyed it. She looked super cute in her new ETSY purchased Easter Bunny Hat. I am bound and determined to get good use of the hat this week!
