Lydia continues to go to Erin's while we are at work. We love having Lydia with Erin, although we miss having Linda watch Lydia. Erin keeps Lydia to a great nap schedule and is an endless resource of parenting advice and information!
Lydia had her first sips of juice this afternoon. We are working on getting her to use a sippy cup. It has been difficult to learn the new sucking technique she will have to use with a sippy cup as opposed to a bottle. We have used two different sippy cups. She is slowly getting the hang of it. She had organic pear juice as her first juice. Tasty!
We also have bought 'mum mum' organic baby rice cakes. These are similar to teething biscuits in their size and shape, but 'melt' more quickly for babies that are just learning to swallow foods. Lydia loves her snack! I have given them to her the last three days as a snack in between her lunch and early dinner bottle. She loves them! We tried puffs earlier, but Lydia still needs help practicing her "pincer" grasp, so the sticks are much more accommodating to meet her needs.
This morning we took Lydia to Baby Signing Story Time at Butcher Block. Abbey did a great job singing and signing stories with "colors." I think I can now sign the "colors of the rainbow" and now know a few new animals to practice with Lydia as well. Lydia also won a door prize: Signing Flash Cards! We can now practice the signs with her using the cards as well as in daily situations.
We also were able to see our proofs at Patricia's new studio! I am in love with them all! Our invoice proved that! There were so many great pictures to choose from! I can't wait to share them!
