We have been giving Lydia tummy time since she was a newborn and have seen the benefits it gives her in strengthening her neck and shoulder muscles. She has learned to raise her head and is holding it up higher and for longer periods of time now as well. Also, we have learned that when Lydia has a gassy tummy, that laying her on her stomach eases the discomfort and helps her "dispel" any of the gas that is bothering her. We have a Baby Einstein activity gym that Lydia loves to lay on her back and tummy on. When she is on her back she stares at the lights and laughs and giggles. I love watching her as she is beginning to react and interact with the world around her!

I enjoyed watching both my girls learn and experience the world around them when they were both little, like Lydia. I love it even more now since they are both so inqueitive about wanting to know what certain things are.
