My co-workers at Wilder Waite hosted a baby shower for Amanda and myself on Friday, April 24, 2009 at Jen Wolcott's home. Amanda is expecting a baby boy in July. It was a great afternoon in which Denise was able to join us in Peoria for. Most of the Wilder Waite teachers were also able to be there. One of the first gifts we opened was a book from Lindsay Grimmer entitled, "Ma, There's Nothing to do in Here." Since we are teachers, we decided to read the book to everyone. It was hilarious. It is written from the perspective of the baby while it is still inside the mom's belly. I would highly recommend this book to any expecting mom for a good laugh! It is so cute!
We also got a duck bathtub complete with a variety of bath time needs: wipes, toys, bottles, books, and towels.
Here I am opening Lydia's swing. We also got Lydia's pack 'n' play, a huge package of diapers, some handmade burp cloths, and lots of other cute accessories!!!
Amanda and I both ended up wearing pink- but it made for a cute picture. Here we are at 25 and 29 weeks.
After we opened all our gifts, we took a group picture. I am blessed to work at such a supportive teaching environment with an awesome staff. I love them all!
